The struggle to create is nothing new; every artist battles with the blank page.
Voluntary Gestures explores the relationship between artistic expression and a neurological disorder called Tourette Syndrome (TS).
Featuring an intimate portrait of artist Jeffrey Koterba, we discover how TS acts as a creative – or destructive – force in his illustrations, writing and music.
Jeffrey is a published author (Inklings – a memoir), syndicated editorial cartoonist (Omaha World Herald) and a professional musician (Prairie Cats), who lives and works in Omaha, Nebraska.
Voluntary Gestures premiered at the Omaha Film Festival, March 8th, 2012, and won 2 awards:
